Who provides these services, and who they are for.
Every service on this page is provided under the direction of Dr. Randall Gates, D.C., DACNB: a Doctor of Chiropractic and a board-certified chiropractic neurologist practicing functional neurology in Reno, Nevada. He is not a medical doctor, and this is not a medical neurology clinic.
The practice's published focus is complex, chronic neurological conditions, and Dr. Gates works with a range of neurological and autoimmune conditions. If you are unsure whether your situation fits, that question gets answered on a phone call, not by reading a website.
Evaluation services: an accurate picture before any plan.
Care starts with evaluation, and testing is chosen for your case rather than run as a fixed panel. The practice describes four evaluation services it can draw on:
- Comprehensive neurological evaluation — a detailed health history and a full, hands-on neurological examination.
- VNG (videonystagmography) — eye-movement testing that records involuntary eye movements to help evaluate the vestibular system, the inner-ear system involved in balance.
- Laboratory assessment — blood work and specialty laboratory testing, ordered when it would clarify or help monitor your situation.
- Brain imaging — Gates Brain Health may order brain imaging when it can provide valuable diagnostic information.
Care services: rehabilitation, nutrition, and a plan built for you.
When the evaluation identifies things worth addressing, care is assembled person by person rather than from a standard package. The practice describes care plans that combine brain-based rehabilitation — exercises selected for you and taught to you — with nutrition and lifestyle guidance alongside.
Care here does not involve prescribing medication, and it runs alongside your medical care rather than replacing it. If you take medications, decisions about them stay with the clinician who prescribes them.
How these services fit together over time — the free consultation, the examination visit, weekly appointments, and the individualized plan at the end — is walked through step by step on the treatment page linked below.
How to start: a phone call, then a free consultation.
There is nothing to book or buy on this website. Call (775) 507-2000; the office answers Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The practice publishes a free consultation with Dr. Gates, in person or by phone, as the recommended first step before any examination is scheduled.
That call is where the practical questions get answered: whether this approach fits your situation, current availability, and what a first visit involves. Which services apply to you is decided through consultation and evaluation, never picked from a menu online. Please keep medical details for the phone call or your visit rather than sending them through email or web messages.
