Getting started

The initial consultation is free.

The consultation may take place in person or by phone. Dr. Gates and his staff review your health history, answer questions, and explain what may come next.

What happens during the free consultation.

The initial consultation is free and may take place in person or by phone. Dr. Gates and his staff review your health history, answer questions, and explain what may come next.

The consultation can help you decide whether to schedule the full case workup. Call the office to arrange it and confirm a time.

What a consultation is not.

The consultation is separate from the full case workup and does not include an examination, testing, diagnosis, or care plan. It does not make you a patient.

If you choose to continue, the office will schedule the case workup as a separate visit.

Scheduling happens by phone.

Call (775) 507-2000 during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If weekdays are hard for you, ask about weekend availability when you call.

The office is located at 5420 Kietzke Ln, Suite 209, Reno, NV 89511. Online scheduling is not available. You can use the secure contact form on the appointment or contact page for a general, non-medical message or callback request.

What to have ready.

You do not need records, a referral, or test results to ask about a consultation. You may want to note:

  • The main concerns you want to ask about, in your own words.
  • Roughly how long they have been going on.
  • Questions about the practice and what happens after a consultation.
  • Your schedule, so the office can suggest workable times.
